Our client, part of a global leader in advertising, marketing and corporate communications, is setting out to pioneer how brands and people interact!  They are looking for a Media Planner to join their Strategy team to executing media plans and guide Assistant Strategists through the planning process. You will be utilizing your interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients, while also keeping up with competitive tends.
What you’ll be doing:
  • Developing a consumer-centric view for all media strategies
  • Executing the media plan and negotiating values
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends and clients’ business to ensure that all media strategies are successfully executed
  • Remaining proactive when responding to client issues
  • Selecting the type of media and implementation schedule
  • Analyze competitive activity in the marketplace
  • Maintain relationships with media sales reps and industry representatives by meeting regularly to ensure all ideas are strategically aligned
  • Facilitating positive relationships with other internal teams in order to execute on strategies
  • Reviewing consumer data to identify target audiences
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions to create media plan proposals and alternatives
  • Keep up to date with budgets and revenues
  • Measuring performance, reviewing campaign results and creating new alternatives based on client needs
What you bring:
  • 1-3 years of offline and digital medial planning experience
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Expert understanding of media types (Digital, Broadcast, Print, and Outdoor)
  • Expert working with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Nielsen-Netratings, Comscore, AIM/Media Metrix, and CMR eValiant
  • Basic understanding of 3rd Party AdServing
  • Ability to lead a team, but is also a team player that enjoys collaboration
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Experience using Brainbox software/tools
  • Familiarity with media billing, syndicated research, and ad serving tools is desired
