The team is looking to add a Vice President of Finance to be an integral leader in leading the financial functions of the business as well as overseeing the finance team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity of working with the CEO and members of the executive team to contribute to the company’s growth and strategic direction.

You will be honing in on your skills in working with leaders across the organizations teams to create accurate budgets, forecasts and supporting growth capital acquisitions.

What you will be doing:
  • Utilizing an actual vs.budget analysis approach to monitor budgets and collaborating with management to implement budgets prior to implementation 
  • Ensuring financial records are in compliance with GAAP
  • Partnering with management team to conduct forecasting for growth and expenditures 
  • Developing financial reporting models and analyzing data
  • Taking lead in overseeing cash flow management and administration, A/R, and A/P
  • Working strategically with the operations team to review capacity planning and inventory costing 
  • Ensuring cost effective approaches for the implementation and direction of financial reporting and administrative processes
  • Providing mentorship and encouraging the development of the team 
What you bring:
  • 3+ years of working experience with a Financial Designation (CA,CPA,CGA,CMA)
  • 2-7 years of managing and mentoring small to medium sized finance teams
  • 4+ years experience as a VP finance Controller with experience collaborating with senior management level and CEO roles 
  • Experience in manufacturing operation accounting
  • Experience in raising capital (banks, venture capital, IRAP etc) 
  • ERP Expertise 
  • Experience answering audit inquiries from CRA
