Head of Data and Analytics, Advertising

Our client is a leading interactive mobile gaming company, with players all around the world playing one or more of our bite-sized games. They have developed over 200 fun titles and have conquered mobile by granting its 342MM enchanted users with advertising they actually want. The Head of Data and Analytics will focus on ads that are business performance driven to make an influential mark on the advertising business unit and to be able to execute its business strategies on time and on target.

The ideal candidate is a power-house, who is passionate about working on fun and exciting range of projects and is a whiz at problem solving. You can effortlessly convert business goals into analytics and vise versa. You will be based in San Francisco and report into the VP of Ads Product, as well as work with various other key stakeholders worldwide. You will also be working closely with the President of Ads to help shape the business, revenue and product strategies to champion analytical solutions.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Own and lead the long-term strategy for analytics support by developing and executing scalability for all effective teams in Europe and the US
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize Ads monetization across all operating divisions
  • Identify and analyze data and validate assumptions by recognizing patterns and providing summarized results to various departments and stakeholders
  • Drive the company's data competency and knowledge base by strategizing, identifying, interpreting, and executing analytics. This results in a user profile capability that structures dynamic campaign targeting, measurement and use of real-time data feeds to give the players an enjoyable ads experience while also maximizing revenue
  • Contribute to the evolving growth of the yield maximization strategy that includes, tactical pricing frameworks, inventory management and channel strategies
  • Manage a team of data scientists & data analysts in both Europe and the US
What you bring:
  • A degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science,  or other quantitative discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in data analysis and statistical modeling
  • Strong foundation in gaming or online advertising industry
  • Strong in writing complex SQL queries, knowledge of scripting language Python and working with data visualization tools like Looker.
  • Experience in Google BigQuery and predictive modeling
  • Expertise with analytical skills that can be transformed into recommendations for key business decisions
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills, to influence and guide change in cross-functional team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to prepare clear and concise external-facing documents
