Their disruptive technology crunches and consolidates huge amounts of data coming from heterogeneous network equipment and IT, and turns them into actionable insights in real-time.
We are seeking a key individual to join their team of experts focused on network and systems security, unix administrations and systems design.
Data Scientist – Full Time
Toronto, Ontario
1-year contract with opportunity to extend (Starting in ASAP)
Working with one of our client’s tier-one Canadian customers, we are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to accompany their customer in the ownership, use and promotion of the solution. You enjoy extracting relevant information from large sets of data and providing results. Additionally, you will share the deployment solution to benefit the customer.  You will become a solution expert - able to identify when new needs arise. You will identify what is currently automated and accessible, identify requirements based on current situation as well as deeper product adjustments in order to work with our client's development team to address and deploy. This includes:
  • Scripts production for not-yet automated statistics
  • Critical analysis of the results and proposition of new relevant aspects based on initial results
  • Shaping and promoting the results, especially among end-customers of the operator
  • Liaison between the customer and Paris-based (head office) teams to identify and solution customer needs. 
Required knowledge and skills
  • Bachelor's degree, post graduate diploma, professional Degree or Master's degree in Engineering
  • Big Data Analytics specialization
  • 2+ years’ experience as an R&D Engineer or Data Scientist 

  • General knowledge in data-mining and machine learning 

  • Fluent in Python and Bash
  • Knowledge of C language a plus
  • Fluent in English (written & verbal)
  • Good communication and customer relationship building skills
  • Previous telecommunications industry experience is a plus
This opportunity is based in Toronto. Initial training will take place in Paris.
